From simple bottle shop to local gem

Robert Burrage has always been a man about his beer. In 2010, he decided to make a dream a reality. In a town that lived for domestic beer, Rob started a craft beer bottle shop. This was quite the new venture for the Concord downtown area. Multiple shelves lined the walls of his shop with bottles and cans that most people had never seen before. A new challenge presented itself, people wanted to try these craft beers but had no where to do it. Well, the only way to solve that problem is to of course, add a bar.

Finally, the locals of Concord had their own craft beer bar. What better way to enjoy a cold craft brew you might ask yourself; well, adding live music of course. After the recession of 2008, Little Robert’s Place was a welcome addition for our town. Once LRP began to serve beer, there was a requirement to serve food as well. At first it started off with some dry and canned goods for people to snack on and take home. As time continued on, our kitchen evolved into the bar food we all love today: crazy hot dogs, tasty quesadillas, funky nachos, and so much more.

Here we are over a decade later, one of the longest running bars here in Concord, NC. Every year we grow a little bit bigger, hell, we even survived Quarantine 2020. Not only that, we have added an extension to our business, The Mullet Thrift Shop. As we move into the future, we plan on going full steam ahead no matter what gets thrown at us. So, while this story may seem to be only about us, it’s about you too. You are the folks that have continued to support us and helped us grow from just a bottle shop, to the quirky but home-like bar we are today. Thank you for your continued support and patronage, we are looking forward to what the future brings.
